Being the Machine

A Cinematic Exploration of Creative Connections in the Age of AI

What happens when AI becomes an unseen presence in human dialogue?

Being the Machine is a short film from an experimental project exploring co-creation, agency, and intimacy between humans and AI. In this study, design students engage in conversations with an AI language model, but with a twist, AI’s responses are spoken aloud by a human proxy, transforming the dynamic of connection and meaning-making.
